Oh very good :) and tidily done too  It looks almost like a berry punnet, doesn't it ?

I have rolled up newspaper sheets and used them like willow rods before now.

A tidy basket and you can make them in whatever sizes you need.

Now all you want is some copper wire and plastic strapping

I thought plastic strapping was an old stand by in basketry?

Or wire. Wire can make very pretty baskets and they will last forever.

Tengu,

It may well be, it just hadn't occurred to me!
I will be giving it a try during the dark evenings of winter.

Kepis, it looks good!
What happened to your dexterity?

I've been battling an auto immune disease for two and a half years, in a nut shell it affected all my joints and left me paralyzed in the early days and unable to walk, all my joints ballooned in size and when the swelling went down it left me with symptoms akin to severe arthritis, although it is not arthritis nor does it mean I will get it in the future, I'm well on the way to recovery now though but it's been a battle, two years ago I couldn't hold a knife, a year ago carving a spoon would take a day or more, today I can carve a simple one in an hour. I shall get there as there will only be one winner - me.

Hi Kepis
As a veteran of kidney failure ( I’ve been transplanted for 16 years) and two replacement knees the best treatment is always a positive attitude it keeps you healthier and gets you to recover quicker than anything else
So “good on ya” mate there will only be one winner
Oh and nice basket
