Something a bit different, Birch spoon with an embedded button compass, why? - because :D

It's glued in with a tiny dab of contact adhesive, but if it needs to be removed, i can still apply pressure from behind, by sticking a pin or a bit of wire through the small black hole just above the knot, which appeared as a happy accident when the tip of the forstner bit just poked through the wood, so hey, make a feature of it

I carved a spork. Not as clean and wide/spoon-like as those.
Tested it with a bowl of pasta & sauce. How clever.

Was not long before I had pasta sauce all the way from my fingernails to my wrist.
Hope you have better luck than me.
