I need one for my dissertation.

What would you reccomend? Just grab a cheap one.?

Alternativley if any of you had one they wanted to trade....

I looked into this a few months back when I was studying macro fungi. I couldn't find one that satisfied my desires but then I needed 600x for fungi work. However, I was shown a USB eyepiece that fits into a standard microscope and that looked ideal (unless you want to take it out into the field of course).

Just in case you hadn't thought of that option ....

Presumably I could, but all the ones I have seen in the labs are old fashioned sort

(and dont ask me about taking pics throgh one, I find it a faff)

I could use this for all sorts of things...nor are they that expensive

I've got an Ipevo webcam/visualiser with a microscope attachment so I can place it over any older microscope and take pictures on the laptop. Not that expensive so might be worth looking at.
