Reproofing cotton flysheet

I have an old cotton flysheet which I would like to use as vehicle awning. When I last used it was not waterproof - unsurprising since probably last proofed in 1970's would something like fabsil gold be a good idea?

I just use normal? Fabsil...applied with a garden pump type sprayer. Dead easy, works a treat and so does the Fabsil

there was a thread on here a few years ago about using something like brick seal or concrete seal as it cost for a gallon what fabsil coast for a small tin but was a very similar thing

I used B&Q cement/brick sealer. Appatrently Thomsons weather seal (0r something similar) now says not suitable for canvas.

I used it on a cotton bell tent but just to let you know it has a solvent smell for a wee while. not horendous but still.....
