I'm 5' 11" and 11 stone (40" chest, usually a medium in clothes) and can't decide whether to get the Hunka or Hunka XL from Alpkit.

Don't want to carry the extra bulk if don't need it (or pay the extra cash), but also don't want to be squashed and would like to be able to fit my mat in there too.

Anyone able to offer any advice on the sizing?

Thanks!

You will get a matt in there. I'm the same height but several stone more and I find it snug! If your cold weather camping you may want the XL to allow the sleeping bag to loft fully as the smaller one can squash the fill somewhat.

I'm 100kg and 1m 76 went for xl as I wanted extra room to but mat inside if I needed to. Nice bag and not to noisy to sleep in. Got mine last month and promptly went out to sleep in the garden at minus temps and slept well.
