Does anyone make proper coffee in the woods and how?

I'm with Trooper on this one, IMO the best compromise as it tastes so much better than instant but you only need a mug and hot water....

What are you going to do in 2013

I'd like to get out at least once a month, even if its just a day or so's walking. Spend my first night out under tarp since leaving cadets. Build my stamina and kit towards a north-to-south traverse of Dartmoor sometime in 2014.

    Avatars...

mine's my personal standard, a horizontal bi-coloured field of red over green with an overlaid black hawthorn leaf. Quite exactly why I have (or would need) my own flag is still a mystery, even to me...

    Smallholders Show, Builth Wells

haha, i handled a giant cockroach today as well, only we were at the devon county show.. the kids were fascinated by the sheep-shearing and axe-racing displays, but the pigs were my favorite too, i just love iron-age pigs (plus they taste amazing!)

What are you planning to do this May day weekend?

i'm hoping to get the family out for a bimble around the woods saturday, then get some man-time in the work-shed sun/mon, but we all know about the best laid plans of mice and men...

    what do you use

i've been thinking about something like this for a while, and was considering running a permanant line out to my workshed as i'm tired of running an extension cable out there, but that is a brilliant idea!!.

    Shed/workshop

if you defiantly want wood then then i'd say either custom-build or self build is the way to go, those pre-pack jobs are cheap for a reason.. if however you want something that can be put up and/or taken down in a couple of hours with minimal hassle, wont rot and comes with a nifty...
