Hi Guys, long time no meet for me! I've been working all summer for The Bushcraft Company, living on an estate near Oxford teaching kids about camping and survival skills. Haven't slept in a bed for months! Can't make this meet but possibly will be able to do Sept or Oct. Would be great...

Great, thanks Luke. Re. fire lighting - I'm just wanting to keep my hand in as I haven't done much natural fire lighting recently. I'll be bringing a stash of char cloth, birch bark, cramp balls, thistle heads and some sphagnum moss that I have been drying and want to practice getting a fire...

Great, thanks Dave. Also - where did you buy your flint and steel? I'm looking online and the prices seem horrific seeing as it's a bit of steel and some flint! Most come as kits with leather pouches but I'm just looking for the 2 elements so I can practice some firelighting at the meet...
