    Are you in the 2%

OK, everyone line up side by side, arms width apart. Now, all that came up with Red Hammer, take one step backwards, find the nearest tree and carve a spoon with that hammer of yours. :D

your best days in the bush

If I'm able to walk into the woods that day, it's the best day of all time. All the rest that happens while I'm there, is like chocolate sprinkles on the pudding. :)

    What're your reasons?

Like yourself and PG, I've got the ancestors blood flowing through my heart. I grew up with family and extended family that cultivated an already great love for Nature and an appreciation for the skills that kept our ancestors functioning and comfortable.

    Vegetarians and vegans

I don't know if it's true, but it was shared with me many years ago that vegetarianism can only exist in an affluent society. It makes sense I guess. I'm sure that in more primitive times, it would boil down to eating what was on the menu, not what was in the head. I've wondered how...

I wear lite weight wool cargo's that I got from Cabelas and poly/cotton USGI OD cargos that I picked up at thrift shops. Blue jeans wear real well for me too.

    1st proper knife.

I'm a big fan of the M2K. I've used one for about every chore one is likely to find in the field and have been impressed with it's cutting ability, edge durability, easy cleaning and maintenance and ease of sharpening. For the money invested, it's a whole lotta knife.
