Some of us sleep hot or cold so it depends on our bodies. I have the old snugpak Merlin which I think this is, with a centre zip and yes I feel the same but I like it because it’s small, light I wear a softie as well in the bag and I can join the thicker sleeping bag version to it. Used it a lot...
I can get the pillow inside the hood of the sleeping bag and try and get as deep in it (the bivi bag) as possible. Then flip the bivi bag hood over. Take practice but works.
Haven’t been on since my reply but I was thinking condor bushlore, which has been mentioned they have gone up in price. Have to attempt my favourite more is garberg but the cheaper ones are fine and I used them for many years.
