    Bushcraft courses

I look for several things. From the subject being taught to the location and the personality of the tutors. I go on at least two a year and after looking around I have settled on one school where I get on really well with the instructors, it's not too far away and their level of knowledge is...

    Hunter Gatherer Challenge 2014

I'll be doing my write up too - just as soon as I have time. It was a brilliant time. I am so torn about if I do it next year. There is so much other stuff I want to do.... Sam, Paul - make it easy on me - convince me!

where to get braintan deer hide UK?

May be a bit of a stretch but why not make your own? It is possible to get brains and hides from game dealers. If it's too much then game dealers may have details of other people they supply hides to that you can get the tanned hides from.

    Okey dokeys. 1000 post competition....

It's all over now. In the end I made 133 inches. The prize therefore - by a narrow margin - goes to Kepis. Thanks to you all for taking part and for all of your great comments. I hand twisted the whole length from nettles harvested earlier in the year. I find that, for me, hand twisting makes...

    Large highlander packs

I have a forces 33 and a 66. They are brilliant - never a problem. The only issue I have had is ripping the waterproof cover on some brambles - but that was totally my fault the packs have taken anything I throw at them

axe mask for a 50 year old gransfors brucks axe

In a world of the throw away and stuff that barely lasts a fortnight then leather like that is just brilliant. Wonder what something like that would cost....
