    Axes with hardened poll?

Hi, Could anyone point me in the direction of an axe similar in size to the GF forest axe but with a hardened poll? It will be used for banging plastic wedges in. Basically a nicer wooden version of this: https://www.husqvarna.com/uk/axes/universal-axe-a1400/ Thanks

    Waist coat pattern

OK. How does boiled wool differ for this purpose? I've not heard of that before. This will be my first attempt at making some clothes btw Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Waist coat pattern

OK thanks for the reply. Next question is where is a good place to source such wool blankets from? And is there a specific type which is more suited to this task? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Waist coat pattern

Hi. Does anyone have a pattern for a waist coast they wouldn't mind sharing? I'd like to have a go at turning a wool blanket into a waist coat. Something like the designs in the below links would be ideal: https://outbackoutfitters.co.uk/product/swanndri-mens-saddleback-wool-vest/...

    Enzo trapper grind

Hi. I just purchased an trapper blade in Elmax and noticed that the bevel is a different length at the tip compared to the choil end. I assume this is as it's ground from the same direction even as the blade starts to curve compared to always being ground 90degree to the bevel. Does this make...

is there a technique or particular shape curve that's best for these catenary curves?

    Tarp Pattern

Thanks for the response. Well I've not started it yet, so one of my thoughts was that I buy another 3m of the same fabric and sew them together to give more scope to make a different pattern. as I'd then have a roughly 3mx3m square to cut a shape from.

    Tarp Pattern

I have just bought 3mx1.5m of fabric to make a tarp. I was just going to make a rectangle. But after some googling I have noticed that many people add curves between the tie down points which makes sense to keep it taunt without slack parts. Has anyone made one like this or have a pattern they...
