Bit of a difference between a lion and a big domestic moggy, even more strange if a wildcat had wandered south from the Highlands, and had some highlights done.

There is also the fact that the photo has the "lion" looking right at the camera... If a lion was in view, that camera would have to be superglued to my back to get a decent picture! I really wanted a big cat to be caught...

I'm ashamed that it took a couple of minutes for me to get that. But, like the photo, I take my hat off to you.

Excellent, and cheap, knives. I keep a number 7 in my pocket at work, it's probably the sharpest knife I have and definitely the easiest to sharpen. They also throw a good spark.

Thanks everyone, I'm not sure if my local petrol station sells it, but I'll keep an eye out. It's mostly for the smell of a peat fire, and cooking sausages! Years ago I had an old aunt who had an aga fitted, eventually she had it changed to gas because of all the complaints from her...

Does anyone know where I can buy peat in the Glasgow area, preferably near Cumbernauld? It would make a nice change to wood on the firepit.

I'm a marine engineer; with a basis like you have, I would recommend you have a look at the merchant navy, if it interests you. Good pay (often tax free), excellent travel opportunities and up to 6 months leave per year.

As I work at sea, I don't want to have to take all the DVD's I want to watch with me, I'd rather save luggage space. So, as I've already bought them, is there any way I can save them to my hard drive (like I can CD's) for watching with media player?

I thought that the ripstop version might be better, I think because I read the name "ripstop", I'm glad I asked here first!

Sounds like a bad B Movie, doesn't it? I'm thinking about getting a jacket from a surplus shop, but I'm not sure which one to get. Obviously, the 2000 version should be better, but what is the difference?
