    Electric T2s!!!

There is a hell of a lot of research going into hydrogen fuel cells at the moment, a British company is one of the leaders. By the time petrol and diesel are being phased out hydrogen might be the replacement. The new tech allows them to be made cheaper, more robust, etc. Lots of advantages over...

Does a knife cut hurt less with a sharp knife?

I believe you are correct, although there was a chunk of my hand that was sort of sliding around. When asked if I was allergic to anything in the hospital my reply of axes resulted in a resigned smile.

Does a knife cut hurt less with a sharp knife?

Yep, put a very sharp axe into my hand. Didnt feel a thing. Main concern was trying to hide it from my wife and not bleed on the carpet. Seriously pondered using superglue on it.

Thanks for that. Cant remember what year, it was when Portland Works was under threat and we met Russel, Robin Wood, Stu (I think), Trevor Ablett, etc. I think the law section is one of the most useful bits that is now lost, especially when you had input from Police officers and Customs people.

The makers I really wanted to own, and still do are a Shing, Owen Bush, Stuart Mitchell (got one), and Guy Stainthorp. I do need a sheaf for the Stuart Mitchell knife at some point.

I agree. I have one of his blades handled by another member. Also have a pocket folder by the bloke that worked at Taylors Eye Witness, R White was it Richard? Met him when I visited Sheffield.

The LandRover itch.. Do I scratch it?

No need to treat the lady's rough!! Once thongs settle down a bit I will go and have a mooch around some of the local car dealers, to test drive some options, Disco 2 vs Freelander 2. Defenders are over budget and I expect to be doing some longer runs, holidays and trips to Bisley. Local use...

The LandRover itch.. Do I scratch it?

More likely to be a D1 or D2 than a D3, and definitely not RR. Having had to get the engine replaced on a 8 year old Skoda, odds and sodds on a LR aren't that bad. There is al local independent garage that does LRs, the bloke is LR and REME, bloke looked after my dads 110 for 10 years without...

The LandRover itch.. Do I scratch it?

Good call about the freelander 2, its is something I had considered. Having had LRs in the family for years, S2, S2A, S3, 110 300tdi CSW I am aware of the upkeep, I am also aware that none of them had an engine or gearbox go bang. Maintenance was constant but cheap, with no large bills. They...
