    Thanks to you both! Although sand bender, from what I can make out 37.5"-39.5" is M 41"-42.5" is L Might be why its snug and would I not be better getting the bigger size if they are snug? Thanks folks

    Thanks everyone what a load of great advice regarding the boots. Im with baggins and sunndog though on the trousers. I don't mind paying the extra for the comfort and fit, being skinny, it doesn't take much for me to look like I'm wearing clown trousers!
