I have been unable to find any reference to a lawsuit being made against a social media platform based source of information, however

This has the potential of reinforcing my opinion, and that it is just a...
Suing the doctors and other health care providers has already started. Almost everyday there is an advert asking "Have you been the victim of a medical mistake"

It is true that society has become scared, it shouldn't be the case, but unfortunately it is. It could be argued that a video (regardless of platform) is seen as an educational resource. As there are a multiple methods of learning (Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic). A result of...
You are correct, and we all have an option of what should be done. My hope is that those who make videos and uploaded them, have a think about their own practice, and how they show the skills in the future.
I was just trying to consolidate what others had said, for some bushcraft is reading a...
It just shows that we all have our own interpretation of bushcraft. Although at the core of the topic we all tend to learn the same skills, after that the divergent is completely different, some just focus on the core skills (shelter, fire, water), some more into the crafts.
It is easy for any...
There would be a difference in having someone over your shoulder saying that you are ****, that would emply that there is someone with you, and if they were to criticise your attempt then they are not worth listening to, I have taken people out who have wanted to learn a few skills, and anybody...
Anything that is handled in a length that doesn't support two handed operation (smaller than the infamous forest axe) is a hatchet style.
The video in question had the axe as a full metal including the handle, and was swung using a single hand as it was not long enough to accommodate two hands...

The whole point of this topic was for a debate. I am also aware that some of these people on YouTube are also members of this forum, to this extent it was my intention to bring the subject of...
My intention was to debate the ethics of how bushcraft is portrayed on some platforms, not create an argument with the legalities of the sale of knifes.
The following is from the government website :
Basic laws on knives
It’s illegal to:
sell a knife to anyone under 18, unless it has a...
Having just spent some time on YouTube got me thinking.....
There are a few people who make YouTube videos on the topic of bushcraft. This is a good thing in my opinion, however is there not a risk of accountability on what is shown on these videos?
My concern is based around the imitation by...
No problem, your first post indicated that you were looking for a scotch eyed.
Other than that it looks like a well used auger you have found, £12 doesn't sound too bad, and might be worth the risk

That is an auger bit, for use in a device in the above post, if you have the skills you could turn it into a scotch eyed (dave Canterbury has a video on his YouTube) by welding an eye onto it

What you are looking for is called a scotch eyed auger
I'm not sure of makers too look out for, however I have seen a few available on ebay
