The moot site is very expensive even if you could rent it, you need to find somewhere else I'm afraid. There is a nice site in Brecon that allows fires and will be open, on the river and you can fish there.

There is a field at the far end of the site you could snag for yourselves. A very quiet site and yet is walking distance to a pub. This would make a good venue if you are meeting people for the first time, you can chat, camp, have a fire or go down the pub to break the ice.

Would love to meet up with you guys, I'm new to the area and still a little green to these meets. would like to attend (if welcome ???) Im just in Swansea so not far at all.
Im also looking to arrange a meet soon in Pembrokeshire if any ones interested, Ive got a small farm with about 30 acres also with 15 being woodland should have full run of the place if needed. we currently run it as a campsite have a look www.tirbachfarm.co.uk

Wow - that site looks great - and not very far from me! (I am on the Cardigan side of the hills) I will deffo be up for a meet there!

I just took a job in Abergavenny starting in August. I am looking forward to living out of London, not much in the way of bushcraft going down in Peckham unless your in my garden or sitting room. I would be interested in attending some meets after August (and sooner if I can timetable it in).
Where in Abergavenny, Neville Hall perhaps? Its a nice town and close to some great countryside, you'll have a great time there.
How did you guess. I suppose most of the throughput
of people is through the hospital. Got a 2-3 year rotation so I'm really looking forward to getting to know the national park intimately!
I worked there back in 2000, did a few months working trauma, nice hospital, nice staff, nice town. Your in a good spot, everything is to hand, the Beacons etc.

I thought I would try and rejuvinate this thread.
I have now moved to Wales and settled into my new home. I was wondering if there would be much interest in trying to get a meet organised before the end of summer. C'mon, you know you want to come out and play in the woods!
