Can't see where you're going because your screenwash has frozen up ?

Chuck a squeezy sports drink bottle in the car so you can squirt as you please :)

Another technique I use is that when coming to a halt just as you are about to stop break hard so that the snow/slush on your roof runs forward down your windscreen.
Of course, don't do this on icy roads, if too close to the car in front blah blah blah.

Interesting idea, I had a bottle of water ready for that exact same purpose except I left it in the car overnight and welll.....its solid ice now.
I have some screenwash from halfords down to -15 and it works reasonably well undiluted. What surprises me is I go into tesco looking at their screenwash. Great down to -5! No good when double temperature is well into the double digits.

Is it just me or does the screenwash work when you finally arrive at your destination. Very annoying!

In the van i keep a pump up plant sprayer full of screenwash concentrate.

if you do freeze up just give it a couple of squirts when u stop.

Had to do this last winter when my washer pump froze then split .

Great idea. My screen bottle has chosen this week to start leaking, just when the roads are at their dirtiest so I will stock up on some cold weather screenwash & a drinks bottle.

No Idea

My neighbour buys neat IPA by the gallon - good slug of that in the washer bottle problem solved (no, no the beer)

BR ? does the IPA not affect the varnish coat on top of the car paint ?
