Updated project. I can now sling a hammock & tarp, and I didn't freeze or get my bum in the mud. New challenge - how to stay upright in the hammock... :red:

I'm gonna have a go at making charcloth,

I got some old linen i been threatening to turn into charcloth too, need to find suitable tin though. Ive got a crook knife ive never used a spoon attempt may be made, and ive also got an old leather handbag i picked up from the charity shop i fancy makeing something out off

ill take my Digital Field Guide for my camera, sure MadDAve and Wayland will be tooled up with their cameras as per usual ? no 4am starts this time, sun should be up a bit later?

I cut some lumps off a fallen oak this weekend, I will be bringing them along to do a bit of carving, a couple of spoons and a curska me thinks.

Or if it dont stop raining a flippin paddle.:lmao:

i didnt realise wayland was coming i will be bringing my camara now .

I am also bringing my mini sketch pad and drawing stuff also my knife and maybe i can do some karving but i dont know nver really done that. except at bushmmot.

Yeah i always say that "Ill bring my sketch pad"... but then I bring the rum and it goes out the window. Maybe Ill do some drawing this time....Probably not :(

Just use a regular tin can, something you get peaches in or tomato soup or similar, and cover the top with tinfoil. Punch a small hole in the tinfoil, it works great. The hole does not need covered up when you take it off the heat.

firecast you had me in stitches mate. Also i think i will be bringing a good book along with me cos it sounds the sort of place to do some reading up on bushcraft as well as drawing and photography. Then agin maybe not because of all the expertize that is there.
