Hi guys,

Hope nobody minds if i come along. Not done an overnighter yet just been evolving my kit lately in prep and trying to gain a permission in a few areas. I live near Sittingbourne but i work all over the South.

Pub is a good idea first i feel too but i may have to come straight from work.

The pub has parking for about half a dozen cars out front, and then space for more along the side road next to it.

I will try to see if I can reserve a table there for the evening. And will think of something suitably bushcrafty to put on the table so people can spot which table it is.

Hi guys,

Wrote a reply on here earlier (and a few others) on the tapatalk app but not bloody showing! If its not too late to say i'd like to come along. I work all over the south so i may have to come direct from work. Been looking into a few permissions latelty with not much luck and also not slept out with the kit im using at present so would be good.

Hi Andy, its not too late, the more the merrier mate. where abouts have you asked for permissions so far? Ive heard certain wardens turn a blind eye to folk overnighting as long as its out of the way and we leave no trace, so i think i know of a couple of woods we should be alright at.

I'll have a chat with you in the pub about it. I would be keen to know because im really after a local "playground" to practice. On i have my eye on is squirrel wood by Detling hill which is used alot for airsoft, the guy hasnt come back to me yet. Another few recce's around nearby have just proven to be working woods with chesnut coppicing and don't look so suitable. Looking forward to the meet.

Just print BCUK big on a A4 sheet and put it on the table. I wouldn't be able to make a pub meet during the week. And my Calendar isn't that vacant right now either.

Just to update everyone I have booked us the "alcove" at ye olde bev for Monday evening from 1900. Aim is to "start" at 1930, but I will arrive for 1900 incase anyone is early.

There will be at least 1 OS explorer map on the table, and we have the bit as you come in the pub, to the left of the bar, there is a small alcove type area, we have this booked.

Just seen this thread as been to busy to check in lately, however I am interested but unfortunately I am the wrong shift on that date. And I am then on a long outage working all hours and days. So looks like I will have to miss this one, but I will keep an eye out now for any future dates for a camp or a pub meet.
Hope you all have a good time and enjoy, look forward to reports.

If those who can't make this first meeting, if you let me know of dates you can make for March, I'll try to make it so that the March pub meet (yes I would like to make this regular if we can), is one more people can make.
