Damn and blast - I cant view that vid.

In a previous life I got to see some incredible feats of manoeuvrability from the crew seat of some big heli's - exciting stuff!

Good luck for tomorrow Southey

In the woods if possible.
I dont see what point your trying to make ged?

The point was that the stunts being performed were an accident waiting to happen. As has been pointed out, the display wasn't even especially remarkable airmanship, and even less so because any responsible pilot should have refused to do it. Try getting permission to do something like that in England.

Do you fly helicopters ged?

Only the R22.

Pointed out by who?

By people writing comments on the page in the OP. I haven't read all of them, but most of them seem to be of the opinion that the stunt was ridiculously dangerous.

The person who posted the clip was asking why you don't see 'entertainment' like that any more. I'd guess it's because it's too dangerous. Check out the Wikipedia page on the 1952 Farnborough air show.

Sorry, have to dash now.

So if you understand the skill level needed to fly a small under powered Robinson then you have an inkling of the skill required to be a military pilot, yes there are lots incidents at air shows by either pilot, mechanical faults but I dont think that should it should be done, and as for saying its an accident waiting to happen, just like a car, or a pencil then?:p:)

And just to make you feel better I have personally found three cracked cylinders on three different engines, one on a overhaul and two on the replacements sent direct from the manufacturer:eek:, You've flown an r22 and you talk about accidents waiting to happen!:D
