First ever attempt at making my own clothes. Lessons learnt and a finished product that I can use. Just needs a few bits hand stitched and then dyed.

thanks chaps. I bought a pattern a while ago but kept putting off making it as I was worried Id make a pigs ear off it. But got the blanket free and with winter coming up I figured it was a good time to get around to it.

Stitched using my old 1910 handcrank singer sewing machine. Ive got a few areas to hand sew as I couldnt get the machine to do the section at the front of the hood and in the arm pits.

In hindsight I could have made it a large rather than an XL but its meant to be worn on top of layers so hopefully it wont be too big.

Thinking a brown dye rather than green.....I have lots of green clothes already!

That's nice, I like your take on the neck/collar arrangement :)

thanks. I wasnt sure about it at first but its grown on me. The pattern gave you the option to have a collar or a hood. Think I made right choice going for the hood.

I struggled with the instructions as I didnt know the first thing about sewing clothes. just used You tube or called my Mum when ever I was stuck lol
