mid/bottom of rapids, we portaged the canoe, lol. too fast and strong for a canadian . ended up crossing the foot bridge and had to walk through stinking sand at other side.


Great wee day trip. Weather was kind to us as well.

Cracking wee loch, river is not too longer either. Plenty spots for a wild camp.

Maybe next time mate and I will start at Glenfinnan end and work down.

We did the loop from Glenfinnan round to Moidart a few years ago, the trip had to be cut short so the stretch from the burial island to Moidart was over too quickly. I'm not sure if we'll push all the way down next month, we might just crash out on the big crescent beach before the island, either way it'll be more relaxed with time to take it in.

Stunning images there from that thread Rich. I am new to canoeing but could def' get used to it. Really useful for the West coast waters up here, two cars help as well.
