Was out and about today, cold wind and hail showers although still a great view to Berwick, Ochills, Glasgow, Forth Bridges and dusted peaks of Ben Volrich and Crianlarich.
Park up at the Longmuir Plantation near Dechmont, then almost straight thru the plantation, good track, over a few gates, wired shut which breaches the SOAC , then a short climb.
Although ruined you can still get feel for the cairn. There is also a ruined hill fort nearby, worth the jump over the wall for a look. Had stoked/charged my kelly kettle yesterday at Carron reservoir with bone dry grass and twigs, so a quick cuppa.

There was a cammo covered building on the way in, mysterious, although a web searched has shown that it's a paintball centre. There was both deer and badger sign so I hope they have not been disturbed. It is also a ROW LW152. Very hard to use the ROW with all the wired, barbed, gates obstructing access. There is also no usual 'green' signage.
I will be passing this on to WL Council soon. I got a sign removed on the access path to Cokleroy recently, it was breaching the SOAC.
