Primus omni help

Had a Primus Omni for years and it's still going strong, but was sat out last night making a brew and all around was still and quiet my stove sounded like a Tornado at full chat on takeoff.
Is there anything that can be done to hush the damn thing a bit. I have seen some stoves with the flame spreader removed and a quiet burner fitted.
If not can anyone suggest an alternate stove with the same abilities as the Omni.

Silent multifuel component stoves are not thick on the ground. A silent cap such as this is the easiest way to make your Omni quieter.

Yes. You have to take the flame spreader off first
