There are plenty of resources on poisonous fungi, but are there any good resources on poisonous plants and trees. Most of my knowledge on this has been acquired through heresay?? I mean I know know which ones not to eat (eg. yew), but which are poisonous to inhale the smoke of, which are poisonous to carve spoons from etc???

I've had a look, havn't found a detailed thread on this. Anyone point me to resources or add to a list which starts here with.......

Members of the Pine family: inhaling the smoke form the burning wood not too good for the lungs due to the high resin content.

If you go to the Alnwick Gardens in Northumberland, they have a Poison Garden which has a wide variety of toxic plants, including Belladona, yew, tobacco and even a (plastic) cannabis bush.
