Was at Ikea on Sunday buying mundane domestic items. I called in at their 'swedish shop' to buy some Spendrupps Guld beer (highly recommended 
) and also bought a wee bottle of 'Elch Blut' - 'moose blood' I guess- to try. Contains 'Swedish spirits', Lingonberry juice (ie, Cowberry to us) and that favourite midge-repellent, Bog Myrtle.
A bit medicinal but not bad. Don't know if it repels the midgies. I'm not sure if the Swedes actually drink this stuff, or whether, like tinned haggis, it's just sold to foreigners.
