Was sorting out stuff round the house and found my wifes leather stuff from when she was a saddler and harness maker . She taught me quite a bit when she was alive , so i thought i would get it out and put it to good use . Problem is 3 of the hides i have , have had moths lay their lavae in them !!! One was a really nice calf hide , but most of the hair has been chewed of and left a very soft leather . the others seem top grow lavae at quite a rate . Are they saveable ? and how would i do this ? What can i do with the calf hide ?
