Another take on the venerable FireDisk.....

Grab four or five hand fulls of saw dust, melt one of your wife's nice big candles, pour about a big glug-glug of paraffin into the melted wax. Stir in the saw dust until it's nicely coated and gloomy like your mum's porridge. Use a spoon to scoop your cooled but warm mixture into a freezer bag (I used a sainsburys one, no affiliation ;) ) then allow to cool and harden.

For a tester I pulled off a halfish thumb sized piece and lit it with a lighter. This is the flame, 6 minutes later.....

I like that for a firestarter, and the precise constituent quantities should make it foolproof to replicate :p

I'm going to make some biccies then, ta much goodjob.
