a very good book covers most you need to know for SPA training, or just personal use, it covers everything i.e.

climbing indoors/outrdoors,
putting in safty devices including friends,
how not to do it, emergency tecniques, abseiling, navigation weather and first aid!


and to top it off it has hundreds of good colour photos of places i recognise like stannage edge, even some climbs i've done!

i wish i'd had this on my spa training,

a big book a little larger than A4 size 0.5" thick something to keep back at the camp for training!

Wow...that is a heck of a saving! Good find Matey! ):

I used the Climbing Handbook to get through my SPSA but it is a little dated and doesn't really go into the use of friends and other modern kit....or at least the copy I have doesn't!

I have it, it's fantastic :biggthump Although I am more of an ice climber than rock climber (bit rubbish at rocks )
