HI guys, this is my first post so I just thought I'd say hi :)

I have spent a lot of time living in the UK woodlands over the years so am not really a bushcraft guy, just someone who used to living in nature. Hope I pick up some useful tips here.

I have just written an article of firecraft that newbs (or maybe experienced crafters) might find interesting. Please have a read and let me know what you think.

Nice work m8 =) Well written and informative.

You might want to point out that allthough big logs are not useful to set ablaze, they are however still very good source of materials. You split them down to the size you need. (Wrist size, finger size, all the way down to kindling really).

Thus, gathering one good log and having axe/machete/saw to do the splitting might give you all of the materials you will need for the entire fire.

Thanks for the feedback HuBBa. I mention using logs when in wet locations but not their general use. I may add some real detail on wood types and splitting etc.

Thanks
