Other than the Moot and the Wilderness gathering, are there any meets coming up in the near future?

I think there mostly seasonal. Summer is the best time for meets Im thinking.

gotta agree with sharp there.. most are certainly seasonal..

there are always a few local ones happening throughout the year though, some delving will uncover them,

while we're on the subject, did anyone get to the gathering and try the biltong mans super hot jerky? how sexy was that stuff!!

Iv never been to a meet. I was reading a book called 'small game preperation - from field to table' aaaaand they had SMOKE BOXES! For making your own jerkey! How kool is that. I must get one when Im better off!

where are you richard that might help me put you in touch with someone in your area?
If you have a look in the meetups and social forum you will find what your looking for, if you dont then start a thread and ask if there is anyone in your area that wants to meet there's lots of it goes on and i think it wont be long before you find a group to join in with. bcuk moots usually usually happen twice a year. there are going to be more official moots i believe but no dates or firm plan have been made yet. Local meets well they go on all year round in varying forms from weekends out, specific workshops (i think one of the last was fire by friction) days wandering and chatting and full members meets.

so these loads of chance to socialise meet people and exchange skills here let us know how you get on
