This was my first meet, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it, learned quite a few things, and got some ideas for additions to my kit. Just want to thank those that helped me with the initial set-up of my tarp and hammock. Definitely coming to more meets. Dazrick

The main worry at the border crossings for me is the fact I'll have a knife or two, as well as my saw, should not be much of a problem once they have seen the rest of gear and realise what there for. I do agree that inevitably some gear will be lost along the way, but hopefully not too much and...

I like that setup, and the tent I had been looking at was far more expensive than that, so its nice to see a setup that works well with a far smaller price tag. I had been looking at the Rab Survival Zone Bivvybag which is around £50, for a Bivvy and it seems pretty good.

Im going away in 2 years so ill be buying my gear gradually and testing it on shorter trips. I like that but can it hang lower than the hip belt of my rucksack, if so its perfect, if not then its useless, although I suppose the document flap would just slide under it?
