Thanks for all the welcomes, spent most of the day exploring a nearby woods that I'd never been to before and practicing various whittling cuts on anything that looked suitable, so I think I might be off to a good start! ;)

    Bushcrafting with a katana

I got my Katanas back when I had more money than sense, which was also before the change in laws came in, and what I have is enough for now. Unless I get offered a good deal on a genuine Japanese blade with full documentation, but I don't see that happening any time soon. ;) I completely...

A Samurai wouldn't have done it because of the significance of...

    Any bikers here???

Thanks for the info on clutchless shifting, I did a clutchless downshift the other day getting ready to do a regular downshift and thought something might be on the way out, good to know it's actually a nice little trick for when something does go. As for parking, my understanding of it is that...

Hi all, I'm Ashley from Barnsley, and about as new to Bushcraft as I think you can get. Registered a while back but life got in the way again before I got a chance to post. The biggest appeal about Bushcraft for me is that it's so far outside my normal comfort zone (sat in front of a...
