Just found this wing nut pump on e-bay.....it's looking like It should come out then....i'll give it another tweek in the next few days after I try to remove more gummy fuel from around the seal :l
Forgot link...
Thanks, I'll look forward to your findings.....Really dont want to damage anything and there is so little info on line with this 1950's kit.....without the living knowledge bank that is you people it will forever be a corroding piece of scrap.... :(
The tube must come out Or I will not be able to get to the NRV.
I probably should have put this picture up last time to avoid confusion.
Above is the push rod (Minus leather cup seal...as its stuck in the tube)...the knurled end cap plus the big old wingnut...and the brass backed seal.
So...
Ok this should nail it.....
Do you mean the two locking nuts external to the tank OR is the pump body threaded and screwed into a thread inside the tank?
I'll put a photo up of the parts as they are different to those shown.
Thanks again, im desperately trying not to destroy this.....patience is running out though :(
Cheers you guys, I have been to those sites over the last few days although none of the drawings or photos help with getting the pump tube out.
Does the pump tube screw into the base of the tank or should it just pull out ?
Hello,
I have a confession....I've not been around much since Feburary 2012!!!
I left a few things unfinished and will try to make amends at some point.....
Anywho, part of the reason I have been away involved a house move, a very happy housemove....but thats for another day.
In this house...
Feel like a stranger in here now because its been so long (All spare time seems to have disappeared)
Been meaning to do this for a while, I have re-priced pendant 'B' in the thread below as it should go to someone rather than stay with me.
There will hopefully be some time soon where more...
Slight caviat.....I would not allow much of a breeze to enter the fire pan..:...it would become a little forge in essence.....keep the hole turned away from the breeze or use a lump of earth et al as a windbreak/damper to control the airflow it it is breezy.
Plus I only used 4 nice sized...
If he was that good he could take half inch into account......snigger snigger snigger.....only kidding who ever he is.I think it looks nice and bet I'd not notice any asymmetry.Mojo
Just to help pendant 'B' move along, I packed it in this little pouch....well I got bored and needed to make something!
The pouch is plain veg tanned goat leather, just cut stitched and embossed.....no crazy finish.
So price and postage conditions for pendant 'B' incased in the pouch are...
I was given one last Christmas.....It seems to have favourites like the Parang and SAK in my tool box can get V sharp but others like my main bushy knife do not like it.
I really think it depends on the edge geometry. if the angle of your bevels are too obtuse then the edge never actually...
Hi,
I missed on the post earlier this week that the price covers recorded delivery to uk adresses and other arrangments can be made.....just thought I'd add it in since I put it in the first post in this thread but not since.
Mojo
Glad to hear it mrcairney......hope all is well.
Dave, I would not personally use them as key fobs, as the keys would end up scratching or chipping away at the material as they jingle around......even metal key fobs can look rough after a while.
I was told not to soak the tooth when...
