Today was quite possibly the best date i have had so far, i taught my girlfriend to start a fire with a firesteel. this was quite a feat as she had never done anything remotely like this before. I would like to know if you all know anything else to help ease her into the bushcraft scene?

i have one and for the money its the best axe to own. i carry it all the time all year round. can't beat it holds an edge and won't cause undo fatigue with use, plus its not too heavy.

I hear that albino deer are not that rare, but i am in the states. so i don't think anyone who has ever hunted has any respect for someone who is auctioning a deer with a huge rack ,albino or other wise.

a large walking stick or other tool will end the suffering of anything smaller than a rabbit and plus its something that can stay in your car 24-7

thanks i lent my axe to a friend ( big mistake i learned my lesson) and i have spent about an hour trying to get it back to its former glory.

I've heard some many different opinions on axe sharpening and was wondering if there was a rule against filing or is it just personal preference???

I cut the tendons in my left index finger while on the river and had to get stitches and can't use that finger when it gets under 30 f .

i heard about vinegar and mora's something about it inhibiting rust or some such??
