    Hammock Camping

I did manage to get away for a few days over the bank holiday weekend, i tried out my new hammock which i thought was very comfy although the mozzie net spredder bars sewn on ties ripped off as soon as i sat in the hammock, maybe my fault on set up. I tried out some tree straps i made for the...

I find myself having to ask, as this forum is about bush craft skills and keeping the old ways alive is this a necessary forum in this community, GPS, Mobile Phones, etc, are they really part of bush craft skills? When you`re planning a trip or just out and about for a few days foraging do you prefer to go it alone, or be part of a team? when i say team i mean at least one good reliable mate/buddy. The reason i ask is; most out door activities involve at least 2 people as a minimum for safety reasons...

    Natural Glue

Now this might seem like a silly question, yes some will laugh but i am being serious. On an extended camp, long term expedition what would be the ideal natural glue to use as a substitute for denture fix, assuming that full top and bottom dentures are warn.? I`ve often wondered how them old...

    The whole hog, (deer) really

I`m just pondering how many bush-crafters could go the whole hog, well OK deer really. from setting up camp, gathering the wood, lighting the fire, etc, to hunting/stalking and killing a deer, then not wanting to waste anything, skin, butcher, preserve, cure, and use the skin for shoes,coat,etc...

    Camo tarp

What`s the ideal size? i mean 1 tarp to do as a shelter/basha but also give you room to sit, cook, eat, and have a fire. 2mx3m might cover my hammock but that would be all, 7mx5m seems to big but i could be wrong? what is the best size for a tarp?, what do you recommend?

    Camp Fire Cooking

When cooking over the camp fire, rabbit, pheasant, game, etc, how many of us actually cook up the carcass`s to make a stock for the next meal?, save it then add it as the final bonus to your next or departing meal. It`s better than just taking the main meat parts and leaving the best for the fox. lol.
