He hasn't asked for any work to be done, although after our first visit we're going to approach him about helping to manage the woodland. There are (I think) public trails through there to though a lot is overgrown so is not used.

I can ask at the farm me and my mate have been given permission to camp. The woodland isn't exactly flat though, so may not be great for tents. I'm going up on Saturday, though as I've only really spoken to him a couple of times I'm a little tentative.
Any suggestions for trying to convince him? :p
A workmate and I managed to get permission to camp (with fire) in a local farmers woodland, only five minutes down the road from me, for Easter weekend, result! So as I've just got some new kit I decided that a pre-Easter "dry run" was on the cards to see how I got on with my new sleep system...
Aye been down there a couple of times, though not with kit. I think that's on the cards end of the month :D

Recently decided I want to spend more time outdoors, and after not really getting along with ground dwelling in the past decided to splurge and go for a DD jungle hammock...
Just to chime in and resurrect this thread. I'm in loftus so not too far from a few here. kinda) new to the forum and new to bushcraft/the outdoors in general. Best way to describe me at the moment is "have the gear, no idea" :p
