too many choices, too many choices. What do you guys think is the best backpack to get? Budget: £40-50 litre: 40-50 and a few outer pockets must be able to: attach my tent, sleeping bag and sleep mat to the outside with the straps that are on it.

yep, I'm going and have booked my axe forging as well, cant wait, lets hope the weather is a bit better this year though.

Bought a tarp, 100ft para-cord, a new tobacco tin for my char cloth, some tent pegs, a head lamp and a tiny shovel and a five pack of ciggie papers. apart from the tarp and para-cord, everything cost me £5 from poundland, happy with that.
