Not that long ago we were messing around up the woods, now he is just about to turn 19 and has passed all his assessments, medicals etc and has been offered a place in the British Army, incredibly proud of youngest.

Royal Engineers, just like his two Great Grandfathers (one North Africa & Italy, the other Northern Europe, France & Germany)

That it does, only yesterday he was babe in arms, I really dont know where the time has gone, bit scary really. He is absolutely stocked about getting in and he has worked hard thus far to get where he wants, if he carries on in the same vein he will go a long way.

Watching our children grow up makes us realise we are aging and getting old.

I served 9 years in the Corps of Royal Engineers , best years of my life although I didn't do half as much windsurfing as the advert suggested !

There are few options out here for young ones these days. Use and abuse seems to be the mantra of most companies these days so great choice the forces.
