Quite a summer yes but in contrast to the unusual cold winter before it I can't help thinking that something isn't right ...

Lofoten area had solid rain for a couple of months. Cleared up just days before we arrived, was dry for the 2 weeks we were there, but maximum 12 C ..

Lofoten is beautiful both in sun and rain but nice weather is of course better for a lot of things, a night spent drinking wine by the dead calm sea in Reine spring to mind ...

Beautiful. I visited Skjervoy once a long time ago, and found the fjords to be one of the most unusual and intriguing landscapes I've ever seen.

I'd love to visit some of those with a friendlier climate further south some day.
