I admit Im a fan of Scandinavian outdoor companies and their kit.
Ok its expensive, but Ive never had anything fail on me when Ive needed it the most.
Ive been looking at the new Lundhags rucksacks for 2018 aimed at wilderness trekking. They are made from a sustainable recycled polyester and organic cotton fabric. Fluorocarbon free. No plastic buckles to break in sub-zero conditions, they are all metal. The waist belt is also a pulk harness, with 2 metal harness points for sled or dogs 😳.
No prices yet and it wont be cheap. Might consider the Gneik 42. All being well it should be a one off purchase. 🤔
The Gneik is a mid size pack in sizes 34l, 42l and 54l.

The Gnaur is a 90l pack
Ps, Ive no connection to Lundhags.
