Hello all,
I made my own Millbank bags, properly cupro-ammonia treated. I prefer flint and steel to matches (I make my own sulfur matches) and Bics. I carry lots of matches because one is expected to do so. I carry several Bics because matches are overrated. My favorite winter fire building method includes a store-bought wax fire log <grin>. I was born and raised in the US desert southwest so I always carry water.
I sleep in an ENO hammock with a Snugpak underquilt and a US surplus poncho liner. Protip: forget mozzie netting; spray your hammock with Permethrin.
COB LED lights are wonderful.
