70miles a day is not a lot for someone who regularly cycles, Janne. With a touring load and a sightseeing pace, that is about 5 hours riding.

If you want to see the interesting sights, then find somewhere secluded and nice to sleep, it might be.
It is around 110 kilometers, correct?
The time allocated for the trip is a bit short, with the detours to see the "sights'.
(I help people doing badly planned cycle trips every year up in Lofoten, a couple each week.. Usually by putting their gear into the car and driving them to their 'days goal'.
Underestimation of possible daily stretch, bad understanding of the nature of the road, lack of shops.
When I return from my shopping trips to Leknes in the afternoon, I stop and ask if I see somebody that is halfway between Leknes and my village.
Most I pick up are of the impression that they can do the 90 kilometers in one day.
I even picked one guy (Dutch) up this March. Cycled during a snow storm. Wanted to camp outside Reine ( the village I stay in).
I let him put his tent up in my garden, and use our toilet and so on.)
I do not think the OP has given the trip more thoughts, or even much thoughts before posting, as his geography knowledge and ideas were completely wrong.

It is still only 5 hours in the saddle, out of a 24 hour day. That allows plenty of time for sightseeing!
Hi Janne, I have been away over Xmas and busy just before, so my apologies for not replying earlier. You are indeed very correct I did not do hardly any research before asking for a little heads up on routes etc and I meant to enquire about ferry or train from Norway to Denmark not Sweden. There is plenty of time to do this route from Norway down the coast of Denmark EV12 cycle route(PART OF IT) It is you who is advising the route down through Sweden, and time allocation, are you coming? It would be great to have someone with local knowledge on board. Are you able to do 70 mile a day yourself? I know I'm ok for it as my biggest day is 150 miles and I averaged 70 miles a day on my around UK cycle trip of 5000 miles and around Ireland this year just over a 1000 miles, also Gretna Green to St Clears cycle trip which was nearly 300 miles which we did in 3 days.
I can assure you I am giving it plenty of thought and looking for some other like minded guys and girls to join the trip and for them to have their say. My method of navigation for around the UK was a road atlas and a piece of dental floss for the daily distance, for direction I kept the water on the left and found my way back to the start very happy.
Ps It is not wise to judge another man until you have walked in his shoes or ridden his bike in this case!!

Sorry to have offended you, but to cycle through Sweden would be a little tight, time wise.

Yes there is a ferry between Norway and Denmark. But then it makes not much sense to fly to Oslo, imho?
Anyway, you have several options. Maybe the one from Kristansand ? Then you can cycle through some fantastic Norwegian nature! Not for a greater distance, but still.
Sweden has lots and lots to see, and plenty of nature. Denmark? Yes, but not so much nature.
I know Denmark quite well, having driven there for decades. I lived across the water for a couple of decades!
My knee is too damaged to cycle, I can walk ok but cycling is not so good!

You can take the old army road through Denmark down to Germany, though I'm not sure how suitable for bikes the first part (Hirtshals-Viborg) is.

Really nothing firm on route yet as I am waiting for more numbers to join and a date TBC, it looks like the end of May to include the bank holiday as a start so Ben doesn't need as much time off from work. Cheers for the heads up on the ferry and road though. New Years eve was the first training ride, only 15 mile but a start.
I looked through the Danish road as proposed. Nice. But being in Denmark there is not much of ‘wild’ nature. More ‘English’ lanscape.
