It was Greg Stiles' recent thread re 'Bushcraft Songs' that prompted my recollection of a game that we used to play whilst on stag back in the day to try to keep ourselves 'alert' and so not wishing to take his thread off topic I've posted this separately.
The idea was to think of any mostly recent (for the time) pop song/film/TV programme etc that could be slightly adjusted either in the title/the artist/the star or both that fitted the situation that we were in, so for example -
Song - The Green, Green Grass of 'ome-agh
by - 'Tommy' Jones;
Song - Seaside 'Shovel'
by - Derrydactyl and the Dinosaurs.
Film - Floating Timber
Star - George Raft.
Get the drift?
I assure you that it worked when cold, wet, tired and hungry on watch in the dead of night so sat around a bushy campfire (perhaps with a few bevvies?) it could be fun.
So I will start the ball rolling with a few -
Caught in a Tarp - Elvis Presley
Whose Got a Match? - Bivvy Clairo
Rubber Bungee Girl - Kate Bushcraft
