I have just been told that unfortunately the price of these is being forced up for small ad hoc acquisition amounts, it can only be maintained for group buy amounts of 15+ outers (10 day packs).

I'm therefore offering to do one group buy order going into Summer and coming up to the Moot in July. I'm willing to lug them around because it is good exercise and my back is behaving itself (touch wood)! I can ship them or deliver free to the Moot.

They will be the current and in date variety. I must say the current ration pack offerings are very good. Hopefully both box A meals 1-10 and box B meals 11-20 will be available but the balance of these is unpredictable.

If you want these at the just about held price of £80/box then pre-order for the new camping season now. Shipping for an outer is still £12 for the 22kg+.

Usual going rate is £15+ per ration pack delivered! I usually bring a few extras to the Moot but they disappear quickly. :)

So is it £80 per box plus £12 shipping? I'm brand new to the thoughts of buying ration packs, how many do i get in an £80 box?

10 individual 24 hr ration packs in a box for £80. So you save £58 + . The packs go a long way as to eat everything is 4000 + calories. When ever I've used them on exercise folk waste loads of good stuff.

Thanks Limaed. Yep, 10x 4k cal ration packs for £80 + £12 P&P for 22-23kg if they need shipping. They come as 10 of 20 available menus, A1-10 and B11-20.

The link below gives an idea of what is included but they do seem get teaked and changed for variety about every 6 months.

They are very popular but availablity can be somewhat variable.

Thanks for the extra info, i have bought single 24hr packs before but it was way more than a decade ago and they were definitely highly nutritious but not exactly enjoyable, the possible menu on the pdf looks a lot better

Oh yes, they are much improved. The cycle rate of them has generally been so rapid nowadays due to active operations that several shorter lifetime items have been added as improvements. Many elements still have a much longer shelf-life than claimed (used to have a pack date rather than a BBE) but other things like the Biltong can clear a room if opened significantly past its BBE. :lmao:

They were definitely mystery content items last time i bought one, i remember being put off by my last one containing only caffeine free coffee sachets and tea bags.

I have made my own biltong a few times and if you eat too much of that stuff it also can easily make you clear a room

Right then, that time of year is here. Grab your 10 packs of ratpaks either for posting or free delivery to the Moot. We need a good number to order so we can get a cheap rate and time is a ticking, need to get this organised quickly.
