Despite the occasional wind and rain, we had a good well attended meet. :) We spent a couple of hours building up the communal wood pile with a load of air dried dead Oak, so all good for the next few meets but we will keep adding to it. There was talk of a communal curry at the next meet, and...

Just up at the wood now, all the recent rain has took its toll, there is a point where it gets a bit too wet for vehicles. I have put a row of cones which is the limit you can drive to, park on the hardstanding and walk in, do not park on the grass. Should be back to normal by the next meet! :)

Just bought more Merchant brand from Asda 50p cheaper at £1.50 a pack, :)

What appeals too is that the merchant ones are boil in the bag, the Loma ones just tip in a billy. Stick a mini Nan bread over a flame and your good to go. :)

Found these at Morrisons, tried the spicy Mexican, very nice supposedly for two but plenty for one. But the best thing for me is the price, £2 per bag! In my opinion better value and very tasty compared to some of the more well known offerings. So went back and got a few more! ...

A great meet even though numbers were a bit down. If you can’t attend after adding your name, let me know. We made a start on a basic timber shelter hidden away in a thicket, this will be available for anyone who wants to get back to basics. :) Thanks to those who attended.
